The Catholic Church is essentially the Church of the Sacraments. This means we believe that at the heart of our salvation is an encounter with the living person of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and that he continues to minister to us through the Church he established 2000 years ago and through the sacraments he gave us to pour forth his grace for our salvation.
